Door access control
is a physical security system that assures the security of a room or office or building by defining the entrances, time and rules of entry/exit for each authorised user or group. This information is shared with the central control point for quick, dependable acceptance or denial every time when a user requests to unlock a door.

Why deploy access control?

Only authorised persons with the access rights can enter restricted room/premise.
Minimise theft or losses through limiting access to high-value or classified asset.
Cost saving in the time and administrative effort to managing and control of physical locks and keys.
Maintain a comprehensive entry/exit log file that can be used for in-depth investigation.

The increasing security threats facing by the world today has lead to many organisations to turn to quality and dependable video surveillance equipment as a key component in their security arsenal. PC based video surveillance systems or embedded, DVR security systems (Digital Video Recorders) are now replacing analog VCR’s as the preferred security surveillance equipment.

Digital video surveillance offers many advantages over older analog systems. A Triplex DVR security system with built-in web server combines Alarm Messaging, Motion Detection and Image Archival into one device that is accessible by numerous users simultaneously via the Internet or LAN. Beside detecting and recording intruders, a DVR security system can monitor personnel and sensitive areas of a facility. Digital video recorders can record for longer periods of time than analog systems, especially if downloading to a hard drive. The images produced by digital video recorders are by far clearer and more defined, thus making identification and detail searching less painstaking.

Our CCTV and digital video surveillance equipment can be implemented for:

In-Building Security

Perimeter Surveillance
Theft/Fraud Prevention
Remote Monitoring
Personnel Accountability
Intruder Detection
Wireless Transmission
Alarm recording
Parking Lots

  Why deploy digital surveillance?

Prevention and detection of crime
Apprehension and prosecution of offenders
Traffic control, crowd control and public safety
Environmental and plant monitoring

Alarm control systems
are designed to give early warning of unwanted entry and other potentially dangerous events. Detection devices are connected to a control panel to identify situations involving forced access through doors or windows, movement in restricted areas, breaking glass, smoke, fire, moisture level, temperature variation and more. When the system identifies an alarm event, the control panel triggers a local siren and sends a signal to the Monitoring Centre to initiate appropriate response.

The September 11
incident has propelled biometric technology to the forefront as it is seen as a better alternative for border control than the traditional passport. Hence, the market potential for biometric technology is great. According to the International Biometric Group’s latest market report, “Biometric Market Report 2004-2008”, the biometric revenue is expected to grow from $1.2 billion (US$720 million) in 2003 to $8 billion (US$4.64 billion) in 2008.

Biometrics methods used for personal authentication utilise features such as face, voice, hand shape, fingerprints and the iris.

Why deploy biometrics?

Difficulty of forgery – Biometrics characteristics will not be forgotten and more difficult for others to copy, steal or duplicate it.
More secure – There is no worries of forgetting or losing it like cards or pin because identification is based on individual character traits.
Reduce administration and support – Once the character trait is saved in the central database, it can be used to deploy in other areas within the same organisation e.g network access, remote access, etc. Unlike the pin and card access whereby support like re-setting password or re-issue of password, terminating and re-issue of lost card, etc are common, biometrics deployment avoids such problems.
